The town faces a $150,000 bill for the months-long investigation into whether the police chief mishandled a suicide last year. The town hired Hartford-based labor attorney Patrick McHale last fall to investigate whether Police Chief Doug Fuchs and other officers overlooked potential vital signs in the suicide case.
